Country Manager – France – Online Poker

Location: France
Summary of job role:
Development of overall market strategy for the region based on research and delivery of NDP / NGR targets against given marketing budget
Responsibilities include:
• Strategic marketing planning
a. Co-define strategic offline marketing objectives and strategy through contribution of all internal and external stakeholders
b. Ensure market-specific goals (acquisition, retention & brand awareness) and strategy are aligned with overall company goals & strategy
c. Coordinate strategic planning with Affiliate Marketing teams to ensure strategies are aligned with online marketing goals
d. Present market plans to marketing department, share plans with Country Management peers and Director group
e. Implement strategy, provide or create KPI’s to measure the success of campaigns
f. Provide ongoing analysis of country performance – short and long term
g. Execute or manage teams to execute results-driven campaigns and tactics
h. Drive campaigns to reach NDP, NGR, retention and brand awareness goals
i. Manage market budget, make recommendations for re-allocation of budget between campaigns where appropriate
j. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders from other departments to implement and measure campaigns
k. Source & liaise with creative agency to ensure messaging is platform neutral and properly articulates the strategy
l. Liaise with media agency to ensure appropriate placement and value
m. Liaise with Country Management peers to understand individual country results in bigger picture context
• Market Research & Business Development
a. Collate all relevant country research:
• Basic population demographics
• Cultural conventions
• Media consumption
• Gaming / gambling research
• Current player research
• Competitive environment
• Regulatory environment
b. Where appropriate, launch and/or manage research campaigns (surveys, focus groups) to ensure optimal knowledge of consumers and market
c. Coordinate research efforts with relevant internal and external stakeholders
d. Identify business opportunities aligned with market goals and overall brand strategy
e. Present opportunities to Director group and share with Country Management peers
f. Seek out relationships to develop business deals within or outside of the poker industry with the aim of acquiring players and/or maximizing retention
g. Seek out relationships with media groups to develop business deals where appropriate
• Management of PR & Event Coordinator(s)
a. Hire (where appropriate), train & manage in-market PR & Event coordinator(s)
b. Set performance goals based on market objectives, regularly review and assess performance
c. Conduct yearly performance reviews
d. Manage PRE coordinator(s) to execute operational tasks including event organization, on-site event presence, PR campaigns, networking & relationship-building within poker community, social media activities to support campaigns, management of our client’s Poker Team member(s), management of PR agency
• Represent our client’s Poker within poker community and at large
a. Serve as our client’s Poker spokesperson for press interviews, conferences and other speaking engagements
b. Proactively source local speaking opportunities to promote their Poker’s expertise
c. Manage or leverage team to manage the PR agency to ensure the brand is supported in local press and accurately reflected
d. Develop and maintain relationships with key members of the poker community – poker clubs, local gaming industry influencers, poker media, potential business partners
e. Keep abreast of all local and international industry conferences and events
f. Attend key industry conferences, engagements, events and tournaments in country
g. Develop relationships with poker industry experts, clubs and federations for co-marketing opportunities, development of events, recruitment of new players and to further promote the brand within the industry
