Scrum Master – Ireland

We are seeking a highly skilled scrum master with specific experience implementing and running Scrum within highly dynamic development teams. The successful candidate will have a track record of operating within a development team lading the team through the full Scrum process from Planning through delivery and retrospective.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully implementing a full Scrum process within software teams engaged in enterprise or web based development activities. You will have experience in coaching teams on all of the aspects of the scrum process including Backlog Planning, Estimation and Sprint Cycle Planning, daily stand-up meetings, demonstrations and retrospectives.

Ideally you will have worked within organisations to transition them from existing Software Development Lifecycle practices to Scrum, and will have overcome the challenges inherent in this transition.

This role requires top tier individuals with a balance between leadership, communication and coaching skills. The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic technical environment on challenging projects with a rapidly expanding global company.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for coaching the development team, removing any possible impediments and constantly working to ensure that the team has the best possible circumstances for realizing the goals fixed for the Sprint. Working with the Product Owners, Project Managers and Analysts to help identify business requirements and translating those requirements into system specifications.
• Work closely with the Product Owner on prioritising requirements
• Coach and mentor the development team to establish the full Scrum process
• Implement the Scrum process and operate in the role of Scrum master for the development team.
• Operate as an escalation point for the development team to remove impediments hampering progress on task completion
• Be the primary point of contact for progress reporting for external stakeholders such as the Project Management Office

Skills / Experience Required:

• 4+ years experience as a Scrum Master in an enterprise or web environment
• Ideally a certified Scrum Master with experience of transitioning teams from alternative development methodologies to Scrum
