Assistant Management Accountant – Gibraltar
The purpose of this role is to assist in ensuring accurate management accounts are produced and information collated to allow the business to operate efficiently and at lowest cost.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Assist the Management Accountant with production of monthly cost centre management, expense and variance analysis and commentary.
• Assisting with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, by working with cost centre/product managers to prepare budgets and challenge assumptions.
• Monitoring and review of invoice coding
• Assist the Management Accountant with monthly accrual & prepayments
• Support of the rest of the finance accounts function as required;
• Ad hoc projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• The jobholder should be a part qualified accountant.
• They should have the knowledge and experience to prepare cost accounts, accruals and prepayments. Previous experience in a similar role in a commercial organisation would be advantageous.
• Good communication (verbal/written) skills are essential as is a good working knowledge of excel, Microsoft office and computerised accounting packages such as JDE
