Product Manager – Isle of Man

The role of Product Manager covers a wide variety of areas. The position requires involvement in the product life cycle from drafting business requirements through to release and managing the payment product to its full maturity. The tasks will include documentation and training for support, updating websites, and product guides for internal use as well as managing the configuration settings for the individual payment solutions. In addition, this role will require the oversight and management of the existing payment methods and the supplier relationships behind them. The product manager will be the expert for their given solutions by knowing them inside out and maintaining excellent supplier relationships. They will be responsible for the success of the products by knowing how they will work best for the business and making sure that suppliers deliver on the often stringent demands expected by the company.

Key Responsibilities

* Write high-level requirements of new payment solutions and steer the product through software development and testing
* Release the payment product and ensure its successful use within the company and our customer base; ensure that all relevant departments are trained and able to deal with the impact of the new product from first line support through to finance and reconciliation.
* Create and maintain relevant product documentation for various internal customers
* Be an expert for the payment products which you manage; know the use of the product inside out and be able to identify trends within those products on a country level and manage its use within the company according to business needs
* Analyze the products on a granular transactional level so as to be able to optimize the payment products; minimize declines and ensure proper player experience for declines, lower returns and transaction processing costs by optimizing the mix of transactions between providers
* Suggest product enhancements relating to any of – specific products, type of payment products, internal tools and reports, or general player experience
* Act as the central point of contact/escalation within the company to manage the relationship with the relevant Payment Providers. Make sure that any issues or escalations are dealt with in a satisfactory fashion

Essential Skills and Capabilities

* At least 3-5 years experience in product management in the online gaming, financial services or Internet industry
* Proven track record in project management with demonstrable skills (Prince 2 Certification for instance)
* Strong business analyst; comfortable handling large sets of data and ability to drill down to minute attention to detail in order to gain the best end-result
* Solid understanding of the state of online payment processing across the globe
* Understanding of the online gaming, online services, Internet and consumer software markets.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
* Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate organized thought.
* Strong team player

Desirable

* Experience with online payment processing
* Knowledge of current industry trends is an advantage
** Experience working with remote development teams / clients /vendors
