Senior Interface Designer – Poker – Ireland
Job Description
Overall Purpose of Job Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the visual components of the brand across interactive properties, working with photography, typography, video, animation and copy to produce interfaces for software, websites and other online advertising and marketing properties. Interface designers solve various user problems, by creating elegant interfaces that clearly execute on design briefs while working to established usability and information architecture best practice. Interface designers are proficient in creating wire frames and information architecture diagrams then developing them into pixel-perfect, visually compelling designs for interactive experiences.
Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
• Translate Business and Marketing requirements into compelling and usable Interfaces
• Participate in creative brainstorming
• Conceptual Development of mood boards, developing photographic style and typographic treatment
• Produce conceptual storyboards, site grids, and interface demos to communicate interaction and design ideas
• Work closely with the Art Director to maintain brand consistency while developing new creative directions and experiences
• Define and develop project objectives, setting milestones in conjunction with managers
• Apply user interaction principles to work, demonstrating an accomplished understanding of usability best practice and information architecture
• Working closely with Developers bringing design concepts to life while establish standards in collaboration with Lead Interface Developers
• Develop style guidelines with the Art Director
• Lead and mentor other designers to enable effective execution of projects
Skills/ Experience Required:
• 6+ years of professional experience working in interactive design
• Design portfolio demonstrating passion and enthusiasm for multi-discipline design techniques including graphic design and user interface design
• Ability to manage the concept, production, and delivery of complex design projects from inception to completion with limited supervision
• Ability to communicate and maintain consistent and compelling visual style
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to develop and adhere to requirements
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience leading small creative teams
• Advanced Knowledge of Adobe CS suite
• Flash design knowledge is desirable
• Degree or diploma in digital based design
• Online portfolio with engaging designs is required for consideration
