Senior System Architect – London
The role involves the following duties:
Design bespoke software solutions to the expected quality
Work closely with the customers architecture teams to understand the business requirement for the various projects
To work closely with the Senior Architect and the software development teams to ensure a timely and high quality implementation of all work
Concurrently work on multiple projects of varying sizes
To ensure projects meet industry leading quality standards
To conduct architectural presentations and compile reports
To travel to customer sites as needed, representing the company, to further explore the client’s requirements as needed
To become familiar with the our client’s products and overall architecture
To review business requirements in the light of project and technical constraints
Proposing solutions and iterating to agreement with all concerned parties
Participate in verifying deliveries prior to releasing
To act in a responsible and professional manner at all times
To promote the interests of our client at all times
Any other duties assigned from time to time by our client’s Management
Person Specification
The successful applicant must have the following skills:
A good quality degree
3 plus years software development experience
3 plus years systems architecture experience gained in a large corporate environment
Hands-on experience in most of the following areas:
C++, C#
ASP, ASP.NET
HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScripts, PHP, Web Services
SQL (preferable for Oracle)
Sockets, TCP/IP
Windows / Solaris OS
A proven track record of successful project implementation in a software environment
Experience of the whole project life cycle and able to operate in all areas from the initial conceptual design stage through to the point of final customer acceptance.
The ability to foster innovation within the project team to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent client facing skills
Good presentation skills and ability to interact effectively with clients
Good writing skills, attention to detail and appropriate thoroughness
Sound comprehension and appreciation of system/architecture/technical implications
Ability to adapt to different cultures, expectations and peer roles Ability to work in fast-moving environment and under pressure and on own initiative
Must be able to travel overseas unrestricted
The following skills are highly desirable:
Experience and understanding of the betting industry
Broad interest in sports
Team management experience
