Director of Online Marketing – Isle of Man

Job Description

Location: Isle of Man/London

Job Purpose

An experienced online marketing professional with at least 3 years’ senior management experience, being responsible for the key areas of online marketing is required by our client. Consolidating the different regional approaches, the Director of Online Marketing develops together with his/her team the global online marketing strategy, ensures the implementation and evaluates the outcomes of set activities on a global and local basis.

Key Responsibilities:
• Working with the Marketing Director to set the strategy for the Online Marketing team (on a global basis) and the goals within each online media channel
• Implement online marketing activities (by language and region)
• Be the main driver for the following areas (on a global basis, having the different regional managers to implement it):
o Search Engine Optimization (SEO) incl.
* Incl. Natural Link development
o Search Engine Marketing (SEM) incl.
*Incl. Pay per click campaigns (PPC)
o Traffic analysis and user behaviour tracking
o Social Media Marketing
o URL Management
o Developing “state of the art” online marketing tools and advertising materials
• Ensure the automation of existing in-house processes
• Ensure pre and post initiative analysis to provide campaign ROI, CPA and learnings for future activity.
• Work closely with specialists within the other marketing teams including PR/Brand/Advertising to optimise the online strategy
• Lead and manage a team of internal online marketers including goal and task setting, regular reviews and appraisals, as well as managing out of house resources and agency relationships
• Manage budgets for the business unit

Essential Skills & Capabilities
• A proven success in Online Marketing
• Project management experience
• People management experience (leadership and line management skills required)
• Knowing “state of the art” online marketing tools (incl. SEO, Web 2.0, …)
• Being a leader able to build something up from the scratch
• Excellent analytical skills
• Results driven and able to develop and implement practical (and quick) decisions
• Well-organised, ability to multi task and prioritise key projects
• Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment is key

• Good all-round marketing skills and understanding and experience of a broad range of marketing tools
• Ability to function as a self-starter with an emphasis on getting things done
• A driver not being driven
