Our client a multinational business critical 24/7 interactive operation have an immediate opening for a third level qualified Senior Linux Administrator. You will need to have a minimum of five years systems admin in a Linux / Unix environment. You will manage large clusters of servers and maintain synchronization of content and configuration. You will analyse and assess e-mail logs from multiple LINUX machines

Specific Technical Competencies

Thorough Knowledge of Debian and RedHat Distributions with a focus on Apache, Postfix, MySQL
Knowledge of BIND and DNS technologies. Implementing Geo-Diversity and Redundancy.
Complex MySQL installations, configuration, backups, permissions, new user and database setups, stored procedures.
Apache configurations under various operating systems, especially SSL support, Redirect and logging options, and directory security configuration parameters
TCP/IP including routing IP, connectivity testing, host and network routing configurations and implementation of iptables.
Network Monitoring and Management utilities, including HPSIMS/ILO, shell scripting and SNMP.
